Courtesy of Charles Noble and Crosscut, Gerard Schwarz, the Seattle Symphony's music director, broke his leg in a skiing accident. Fortunately, the break won't prevent the maestro from meeting his conducting obligations. Even though he has been told to stay off the leg, he will lead the orchestra with the help of a seat.
